Each week two Big Dumb Monsters have a few drinks and talk about a new monster movie featuring some of their favorite Big Dumb Monsters, then point out the surprising number of horror movie actors who've appeared on Murder, She Wrote.
Nick and Chris are paying homage all this month to one of the greatest modern monster movie makers as we kick of Guillermo Del Toro Month! For part 1 we’re starting at his first major American movie, 1997’s Mimic. Stay tuned all month long for one exceptional film after another!
Nick and Chris laid out some comedy GOLD this week while talking about Innocent Blood. You should’ve heard it! I mean, it truly set a gold standard for podcasting. Sadly though, due to a technical glitch, the audio was tragically lost. Instead of sulking into our booze about the lost ep, these podcasting heroes turned the mic back on in the face of tragedy and drunken-ness to crank out an ep filled with a personal look at our resident big, dumb, monsters. Enjoy! Oh and as Robert Loggia says, “Drink your orange juice, kid.”
We’re changing up the format this week as Nick and Chris are joined by their friend Peter for a watch along of the 1977 uhhh, I guess you could say “movie” Death Bed: The Bed That Eats. Be sure to queue up the movie and play it along as you listen to this commentary.
This week Nick and Chris learn the perils of picking movies based solely on the preview thumbnail as they talk the 1982 sort of sci-fi, southern brawler Silent Rage starring the legendary Chuck Norris.
